One of iPhone’s biggest concerns has always been its battery life. Many people have to carry their chargers with them, and charge wherever they can or else they’ll be left with a useless rock.
The iPhone series have gotten a lot of updates over the years. It has gotten thinner, wider, and the latest update removed the headphone jack completely; but the battery life never seems to get much of an improvement.
However, there is a rumor circulating around the upcoming iPhone 8. It seems that we might finally see an upgrade to its infamous battery.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, who Business Insider UK called their “reliable KGI Securities analyst with sources in Apple’s supply chain”, Apple is working to improve the battery life in the upcoming iPhone. He mentioned the iPhone 8 will have a new and smaller design that allows for more space in order to pack in a bigger battery; and the phone will be equipped with more energy-efficient OLED screen, letting the battery last longer.
Although it is still just a rumor, Ming-Chi Kuo’s prediction about the previous iPhones have always been correct.
Do you think this rumor is true?
